You may remember this previous post about the broken arms on the off brand fuel pumps. If you have not read it, read it and then check out the video below on the update and analysis of several pumps.
If you own a Mazda B2000 or B2200 from 1986 to 1993, watch this before buying a mechanical fuel pump! In this video, I compare several popular fuel pumps – including Carter, Airtex, and the OEM-style replacement – and explain the key differences that can affect performance and fitment.

You’ll learn:
- Why some pumps don’t fit right out of the box
- Which part numbers to avoid (and which ones to trust)
- The truth about spacers, arm lengths, and pump travel
- Where to get the right pump for your Mazda B-series
Since the posting of this video on YouTube it appears that the OEM pump is getting harder and harder to obtain. Many websites are now saying DISCONTINUED.
With that being said I am working on making a new spacer/insulator that will allow the use of the non OEM pumps.
Read about that in the forum here.
