Hello family,
I guess this will serve as my initiation into this marvelous forum. I introduce to you, Dolly, my daughters 1987 Mazda B2000 and her first car. Named Dolly because it was how we got her home. Before you all cringe and make the same face you do when you see a hairless cat, we bought her like this. Make no mistake this is a project car. Currently she runs for short periods of time because she doesn't Idle and eventually overheats according to the previous idiot, I mean owner. I will eventually start a post in every section as I will have work to do on every bolt of this truck, but for $1k, I still think I picked up a solid truck. The way I look at it, repairs are unavoidable, so is restoration on a 40yr old truck.
As far as myself, I can claim to have been one of the OG's of minitruckin having had rotary converted Mazdas back in the 80's. Im glad that our innovations and hard work opened up this culture and it is once again seeing a resurgence. Having built many show cars, and corporate sponsored cars, I hope to be able to continue to share my innovations with the group. So enjoy the ride. Here is a link to the thread where everything will branch out from in detail. Thank you in advance for your help, and your laughs.
