Well a little back story about this truck. I always loved these B series trucks, just never thought I'd actually own one. Back in February of this year, I had a 99 obs chevy suburban, that was my daily for over 7 years. Being a minitrucker, I was never truly happy in it, but I did love it in a way. But I made the decision to let it go to buy a minitruck again. More specifically a first gen s10 extended cab with a 4.3 v6, was what I was desperately after. But after weeks of not finding anything in the price point I was wanting to spend, I kind of gave up. Then one day browsing Facebook marketplace, I started getting other mini trucks as recommendations, Toyota, hardbodys, etc. And then I started seeing B series trucks popping up. But paid them no mind since most were carburetor and here in cali, a real pita to get them to pass smog. So weber carb and cat delete weren't an option. Well I did some research on these trucks and found that in 1990 they made fuel injection models, and my hunt began for a cab plus, fuel injected, and AC model Mazda. Finally found one 2hrs north of me in Sacramento. It was a little rough on the outside but I made an appointment to see it. Took the drive and looked it over thoroughly, and after some negotiations we agreed on the price of $2500. She's a clean title, and I'm the 3rd owner of it with just 168k when I got it. Brought her home and slowly turned her into my daily, and what she is today. Lowered it on some 2000s era Centerline Lexi ll 17s, chrome grille, 4runner bumper, purple/uv underglow and tinted the windows. Currently in the process of gutting it out to do sound dampening and heat insulation along the floorboards to prep for a somewhat temporary sound system. I'll be installing a pair of Sundown Audio SA15s sealed facing down behind the seats on a CT Sounds 2k amp, a custom center console, custom door panels with speaker pods to house a pair of 6.5s midrange and a pair of tweeters per door. Will also be installing come cavalier bucket seats as well to replace the worn out factory seats. Crazy part is that a older family friend had a cab plus Mazda fully lowrider, with candy paint, topper with full phantom top, real dayton wires, and hydraulics, back in the late 90s. And his truck is what got me into minitrucks and lowriders. Now I have one and love this truck to death!! Thanks for reading all that, I know it's a lot but man this little truck means a lot to me and just wanted to share my little story of how I came to own and love a Mazda B series.
Will be updating this page as I make progress on my interior and sound system.
