Hi all,
It looks like most, if not all, B2000/B2200 EGR delete jobs are done with Weber carburetor setups. Will the stock carb still work with an EGR delete? I know the stock carb uses the engine computer (hidden in the passenger side) to calculate...something, and actuate valves and such based on vacuum and other sensor feedback, while the Weber carb is a lot more "analog".
Why not just upgrade to the Weber? I'm looking to skip the Weber and upgrade straight to a Holley Sniper EFI 2300 kit following the steps taken on this channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOJ-98jokWI. Getting rid of the EGR stuff is my first step in cleaning up the engine bay, but it'd be nice if I can still drive the truck around with the stock carb and EGR stuff removed before I commit to installing the EFI kit.
