Had rust at the bottom of my passenger fender, found out it was full of dirt and leaves. Looks like it all came from the cowl then down the side of the truck and sat in the fender causing everything to rust in its path. Was thinking to remove old seam sealer and clean rust off and paint some por15 over or some sort of rust encapsulator then reapply seam sealer. Any suggestions/ tips would be appreciated thank you.
Update: rust went through pretty bad, what are my options. Im thinking i have to cut the top open and spot weld ,patch the vent. Or can i hit it with rust reformer/ encapsulator and seal the rest with seam sealer. Or repair with fiberglass? Any thoughts/ideas appreciated again thank you. Also Is this for the air in the cabin?
