G'day fellow Uterus Lovers.
I purchased my factory yellow '88 B2200 DLX from eBay in around 2012 for $300. It was factory fitted with the hi-powered 2.2L non turbo diesel. I purchased it primarily because I needed a cylinder head and it had a new one recently fitted. The rest was going to be scrapped. After returning from the long interstate trip needed to pick it up my mate and I decided that it was indeed too cool to send to China so out came the now headless diesel and in went a
4 port Rx8 13B running a Injection Perfection T/B and Haltech ECU. This was cool for a while and tooted some wicked massive long burning flames on decel but we felt it needed more...
Enter the next reincarnation. Built extend port 12A turbo with a rather rare HKS top hat designed to fit the factory 12AT throttle body. Also to match, a HKS GT2510 ball bearing turbo. Much better!!
She's currently off the road for some further upgrades including a Link G4 ECU package and a stainless exhaust.
Also planning to do a full respray in the future and make some changes to the custom steel tray.
Love watching Mazda Mitch although I think maybe it's time put the old carby FE to rest and jam in a boosted FE3 or maybe a 20B... As long as it's made by Mazda and not some LS pile of s**t!!
