Valve cover vent hole? Cap or Small Air Filter?

When I removed my stock air cleaner assembly, I put a silicone vacuum cap on the hole in my valve cover where there used to be a hose going to the air cleaner. What I've seen some of the Weber setups do instead is put a teeny tiny air cleaner on the hole instead. Is it particularly bad to cap this off, or should I find one of those teeny air cleaners to allow it to vent to atmosphere? Where do I find one of those small air cleaners?

If you don't want to vent that to your air cleaner, you can add a small vent filter. You may need to enlarge the opening in the vent filter rubber hose a little with a 1/2" drill bit.
