Mrbill This is my first experience with a mazda. I am working on an 86 mazda B2000 2.0L and have removed the emissions system. When doing this I mistakenly threw out the vapor canister. I now find that I need it to plumb the fuel tank and carburator float bowl vent into it. I have found that these are a scarce item. Has anyone found a place where one could get one of these, either used or new?
MazdaMitch You say you got rid of all of the emission stuff so I'm assuming you do not have to pass emissions. I'm also assuming you have a Weber but you do not need that canister for any reason whatsoever really.
Mrbill MazdaMitch thank you Mitch. I do not have to pass emission inspection in my state. They closed down the inspectionstations 2 or 3 years ago. Yes, I have removed all of the emission stuff and installed a Weber carburator (thank you for all the tips). I am left with a fuel tank vent line and float bowl vent that I was wondering about. That is why I asked about the vapor canister. I am not going to do anything with those.
Cusser I have had the Weber on my '88 B2200 since 2005, and I retained my canister. Some of the ports are plugged.
