November 2024: Mrs. Cusser's 2014 Yukon passenger side low beam went out. Fuse #16 tested fine, The headlight bulb was a big pain in the butt !!! Its replacement is NOT in the owner's manual because of this, GM wants owner to take to a dealer.
I watched some YouTube videos for this. The fender under-liner needs to be removed/pushed out of the way to loosen one bolt. So 2 bolts and 4 plastic fasteners to get that out of the way, then 10 bolts up top and 6 more plastic fasteners to get the entire headlamp assembly up and out a little to access the bulb. I could actually get my left hand on the bulb "ears" and could've possibly avoided the up top stuff, but I could not get that bulb to turn, and likely wouldn't have been able to remove the safety connector anyway working blind. Even after the top stuff and getting access, I needed a ViseGrips to turn that bulb. Anyway, done now. Standard H13 bulb (Walmart/O'Reilly).
3 month update: now the left side low beam went out. Again needed Vise-Grips to turn the bulb assembly out, and “safety harness” attaching to the bulb was also a hassle. I used same technique as before, did not want to attempt removing window washer reservoir and flex panel preventing access to the rear of the bulb assembly. Pry off the safety retainer, then press in the small gray "latch" and pull the gray harness away from the black bulb assembly.

I cannot justify pretending/lying that the one from Walmart (both were Sylvania Ultravison) went bad within the 12 month warranty period to get a free replacement, not legit. I have my standard and ethics !!!
