Tim Have a 92 b2200 that I purchased. The wiring is all butchered from the previous owner. I know the alternator may be bad but I want to confirm the wiring first. Does the power supply coming off the battery have to go through the main fuse box first or does the power supply off the battery go straight to the alternator? It’s currently wired from the positive side of the battery straight to the alternator. I tried looking at the wiring diagram but I have a hard time figuring it out. Thanks
Cusser The positive power should come from a 30-amp fuse in the fuse box just rear of the battery (more-recent models) or the 80-amp fuse there (earlier models). See diagrams. From 1992 wiring manual: From 1988 service manual:
