You're trying to SAND the crank and cam journals?? Not really recommended, as any scratches or grooves will not be "sanded" out of the metal. Ideally you would have the crankshaft "Turned" by a machine shop if there is bearing damage.
Do you have any pictures of the cam and crank journals that you feel need to be sanded?
