This truck I am restoring "Dolly" is for my daughter. I am no fan of idiot lights and especially in older cars/trucks prefer gauges. Yeah, the truck has "needles", which is better than an idiot light, but since I currently have no tach, why not add an Oil pressure gauge and a temp gauge as a back up? Anyone use a gauge pod?
I know the single din space in the center of the dash is big enough to hold a three gauge cluster, however, for a beginning driver I feel it is too low for her to check as conditions change, especially the tach.
As far as the gauges;
- Tach - her cluster does not have one
- Water Temp
- Oil Pressure
That's why I want this cluster on the flat spot just to the left of the gauge cluster...
