Mrcrowley Have any of you changed your tension rod bushings if so how did you get it to 98.5mm or 3.88 in I've tightened mine till they won't go any further and I'm still short
MazdaMitch Hrmm I have some bushings but have not tackled that yet. Do you think its the wrong ones? Not thick enough? Lets see a pic of yours if you can get us one.
Axel-Breaker-Earl Loosen the jamb nuts (the 2 nuts locked together) then turn the jamb nut closest to the rubber bushings until it gives you the 3.88"........then spin the other jamb nut up to the jamb nut you turned first, and tighten them together again.
Cusser I did new tensioner bushings on my '88 a couple of years ago, was straightforward, don't remember any issues. My replacement ones were blue as well.
