Hairline cracks or cast ??

Was looking in my bay and noticed what looks like a crack on the exhaust side of the cylinder block. Most prominent by #4. Anyone else block look like this or should i be concerned? Should i run compression test? And where could i get a new 2.2 cylinder block other than the junkyard/ any for sale? Truck starts up fine, but havent drove around in about a year. Anything helps thanks

IMO casting imperfections. Any cracks in the block will be reflected with burn marks from exhaust, oil leaks or other signs that internal chemicals are leaching out through a crack. If you are not seeing any drops in performance or concerns in that regard let her be.

Others with perhaps better eyes will likely chime in to confirm.

That looks like a cylinder HEAD.......not a engine BLOCK. To me though, it looks like a casting line/flaw, not a crack. You should be good there.
