It's true you should not use a cork gasket on the oil pan.
They often come in engine kits but they should be ignored.
Another thing about cork gaskets is that when they are installed usually people over torque them and this is what causes the cork gasket to leak.
When these trucks came from the factory the surface was machined perfectly and does not need a cork gasket. All it needs is oil resistant RTV sealant.

Now getting the pan off from underneath the vehicle may present a challenge.
Often times the sealant that's on there will hold it so good it's hard to pry off with limited space under the truck but it can be done.
