I can see the value of your preferred flip-over style bed extender too. For bike hauling, I do like the Ready Ramp tho, it's worked so well for me over the years.
I was thinking recently about drilling holes in the lower part of the truck bed down near the bed floor, and installing more tie-down hook points so I could use a cargo net that's attached so low it's almost touching the bed floor. That would be great for keeping small stuff from sliding around. Or use a couple milkcrates, which would be awesome as I have a Kawasaki KLR650 and that bike is a constant source of milkcrate jokes lol.
