My 2-gallon steel gas can developed a leak on its seam, JB Weld didn't "seem" to seal it, so I went online to see which local store would have a replacement (plastic, these days) in stock. Unbelievably, a Google Search actually came up with this:

Today is pretty much an "unscheduled" day; we dropped off the 2014 at the local mechanic for routine change of fluids for the automatic transmission, front differential, rear differential, and transfer case; all seem to use different fluids, and way too much work for me at my age and with no lift. I can handle its oil changes and coolant changes, and on my B2200, Frontiers, and old VWs I even do their gear oil changes and differential gear oil changes.

Anyway, I did go to WalMart 2 miles away and picked up a new gas can, $14. That reminded me of listing a couple of new tools I've picked up recently (I like buying tools to help me, make life easier, or to prevent me from getting injured !!!). One of these is a set of real hose clamp pliers, for the spring type used on many vehicles, to squeeze those clamps open with minimal slippage. Another is a pair of electrical disconnect pliers to squeeze and separate those government-mandated safety connectors which are a real pain the butt !!! The pair was under $6 through Amazon.

I recently replaced a purge solenoid valve on my 1998 Frontier with a $20 part through Amazon to clear its P1444 check engine code, and it had one such connector and two spring-type hose clamps.

When I replaced the tensioner bushings on that same truck last month (tougher than on my B2200 because of access), I had to use my 15/16" combination wrench to loosen the large nut because my biggest metric combination wrench was 22mm (so I didn't have required 24mm combination wrench); anyway, could only rotate a few degrees at a time, took forever, awkward position. I didn't feel like grinding the head of the 15/16" narrower for easier access.
