My GOD, I cannot believe the challenges I go through day in and day out .. So most of you will either relate to this or sit back and laugh so enjoy ...

I own many other POS other than the Mazda that I am restoring for my daughter. This story involves my 2008 Scion xD, MT, with 245K miles.

I am currently trying to replace the lower engine mount AKA Engine torque mount. On the surface, it seems pretty straight forward, six bolts 14mm / 19mm bolts bracket drops, engine mount pulls out. So riddle me this;

Why has it taken me 2 weeks to complete, with another two weeks perhaps on the horizon? Well for one I have one day off a week and 4 POS starving for my attention, secondly though, I keep getting the wrong part. Huh? What? Don't you know what you drive?

So here is a pic of the part

Correct in every aspect except one ... the shaft between the mounts is too long, long by about 1-1/2". Obviously the mount points do not have any adjustment at all and therefore the part has to be exact.
I have ordered it from:
Rock Auto (x2)
Autozonee (x1)
O'Reillys (x1)
O'Reillys - via Toyota Direct (x1)

All were the exact same part, ALL were wrong. This part has no other vehicle crossover and is exclusive to this particular vehicle 2008-2014. No OEM notes exist documenting the issue and my local Toyota parts dealer is scratching his head. I know its Sunday, so I will pursue a more aggressive hunt for answers tomorrow.

But this is fucking insane ... The closest I have come is identifying the exact same part under a different p/n for the Toyota Camry. On that car thought the part sits on top of the engine as the engine is completely different from my own.

Right now the only reasonable option I have is taking the bad part and having the bushings pressed out of it and back into my OEM part, as the bushings are correct it is just the length of the rod that is wrong ...
