In this video I show you how I set my fast idle cam on the Weber 32/36 carburetor. This carburetor has a two stage cam on the electric choke.
On a cold day when I get in my truck, the first thing I do is press the gas pedal once to squirt a little gas into the carburetor and this also activates the choke.
This sets the first stage of the fast idle cam on the choke at about 2000 rpm. I let it run here for about 15 to 20 seconds and I lightly press the accelerator a second time. The spring in the choke now moves the cam to the second stage which is at about 1000-1100 rpm. I will let the truck run here and warm up until I am ready to leave. Then before going anywhere, there is one more press of the accelerator and it rests at 850 rpm.
