While I wait for the thumbs up or down, I do have a question.

Do the B2000's have tilt steering? I noticed my steering column has a channel where the locking lever for the tilt wheel would normally go. While those that know reply I will set myself up for the anticipation that there is yet one more piece that I to restore and chase down parts for .. lol

Unfortunately, the 1987 Mazda B2000 did not come standard with a tilt steering wheel. This feature was not common in vehicles of that era, especially in compact trucks.

While you could potentially find an aftermarket tilt steering wheel kit to retrofit it, it's important to consult with a professional mechanic to ensure compatibility and proper installation.

Will the B2200 steering columns fit and interchange with your B2000 ? If they do you might be able to find one on eBay. I saw a used B2200 tilt steering column for sale on ebay around 6 months ago, it sold for $350.. The seller back then advertised that it fit 1986 to 1993 B2000 and B2200 & B2600.

LX/LE same package = LX on 1986-1989 and LE after that.

(2 color options gray or tan and maroon for the LX as an option).

I believe that the nice 3-spike metal steering wheels were on selected 1990-1991 models and on a few years of RX-7. I got one at the parts yard for myself, and sold a few from there over a decade ago.

I actually saw maybe two "tilt steering columns" in the parts yards back then, but these were not real tilt column models if I remember correctly; mainly one could drop or raise the entire column but the steering wheel would remain perpendicular to the column.

It’s important to get all the necessary parts to mount these sport 3-spoke sneering wheels. There’s the horn cap, the metal plate that goes underneath it, and the large spring that floats the horn cap plate.
