When I pulled the engine I pulled the torque converter with it that made it extra extra difficult because it just about took up 10 to 12 inches in the engine bay.
I didn't quite understand the instructions on removing the engine when it's an automatic.
The Chilton and the Mazda service manual were unclear but the Haynes manual was more clear.
I realized this after I had pulled it.
Still difficult because there's a lot of extra steps even if you do follow the instructions.
This engine is severely locked up and this would make it difficult for anyone to get the four torque converter bolts loose.
The oil pan is stronger than you think I don't believe you will collapse it.
How about doin this using two straps??
