Hi all, started a while ago working on this project. Progress is slow but steady 🙂
I'll drop some pictures here along the way if anyone is interested in taking a look.

Please! Picture would be great! Looks like you need some helper springs in the rear......was wondering.....does it still have the normal rear end? I know when Toyota & Datsun made/had them back in the day, the one's I saw were dualies. Cool stuff regardless!

Axel-Breaker-Earl Thanks, it still has the normal rear end. Only thing they added was some air shock absorbers.

That's pretty bad ass ..

Just the other day, i was watching a video from HeavyDSparks, in that video he acquires this haul trailer and a couple of mini trucks as well, one of them was a Mazda Dually!!! It had a 6 lug set up, so it may be something for you to research ..
Now if you are comfortable doing custom work, Toyota made a dually minitruck, they used them for u Hauls and campers too. Those are easier to source parts for I'm sure and worse case scenario you have to make a custom drive shaft. Just a thought, why not make it bullet proof right?

thats pretty sweet! if i didn't need the space to carry my bikes/moto something like that would be nice to have. for now a swag strapped to the back does the job, haha.

any pics of the inside? looks like there is plenty of room for activities

brapamaldi Thanks, atm the interior is filled with parts and boxes so not much to see 🙁 . Space inside is alright, I can confortably stay all the way up without my head touching. There is a double bed above the front cabin, in the lower part 2 couches that can be also made into a bed, a little kitchen area in the back right side (fridge/stove/sink/drawers), and in the back left side it has a separate toilet with sink and shower.
After i'm done with the mechanical part i'll drop some pictures from the inside too.

So a little update, i'm done with the steering part. Got all the bushings replaced, joints, shock absorbers, new brakes front/back and pipes, back leaf springs.. tidied a bit the engine, timing belt, new radiator hoses, fuel and vacuum hoses, oil changed, radiator flush and fluid.. replaced middle exhaust. Now it's running really nice, still have to fix a leak in the gastank and change oil in the gearbox and differential.

Now I started with the interior in the front cabin, unfortunately a bit crusty on the drivers side but it's not too bad.. have to look where the water is coming from.

Sorry i'm just bad at taking pictures, I just get to work and completely forgot to take any along the way.

Those bucket seats are very nice and are extra fancy with three adjustments and the headrests are unique. They must have come out of a high end LX truck.

Cleaned a bit the floor and carpet, slapped some heating in the seats and fixed the water leaks on both sides, I don't have the possibility to weld on it where I have it stored right now so I cleaned the holes, rust converter and fixed with some glassfiber patches, metal putty and some liquid rubber paint, leaks gone.. hope it lasts until I can get it properly done. Interior is not finished yet, still working on the electric stuff.
