Oil baffle gasket?

Hey, all. What's the part number for this, or where can I get it? It's #5 in the diagram... basically, under the top of the valve cover for my'89 B2200 (stock carb and emissions). I've checked the usual places like jimellis, etc, and their diagrams don't show a part number.

Mine is brittle. Is it OK to run without the gasket and only the baffle? Or how about running with neither? I figure that's not a good idea as more oil would not be condensed, and thus more into the intake stream.

It sometimes comes in a valve cover gasket kit but some have said it's been missing. You can omit it and substitute it with just using black oil resistant RTV. Dab it all around the edges and let it tack up good and put the plate back on. A Q-tip is a good tool to apply it.

I used ultra grey rtv as its what i had on hand, should i be concerned

There were several in my FelPro head gasket kit, maybe B2000 and B2200 EFI are different???

I agree: just use RTV.
