Spent a good amount of time on the Mazda this weekend.
Since I really don't know the history of the engine I decided to
do the timing belt and water pump
Changed all the drive belts
Stripped down and painted the tops of the fenders and the core support radiator and shroud (they were pretty nasty}
Picked up a bunch of little chrome bolts, (my local hardware has a pretty good selection)
Painted the valve cover and added the little breather
Installed my pacesetter header
Changed out the giant BMW battery that the previous owner had in there (SMH).
Changed my oil to Rotella T6 5w40.
The rest of the engine compartment still looks aged but this is 150 percent better than it was,
