Sportier sport steering wheel.

I like the look of the sport wheel but it didn't feel very sporty with the thin diameter of the grip.
To fix this issue and give it a bigger grip I used 2 layers of 1/8 neoprene foam to pad the wheel out and wrapped it with a sew on leather cover.
I would like to find a better way to finish where the leather cover meets the spokes.

I didn't build up the thickness of mine, but I do use a vinyl lace-on steering wheel cover.

I like that cruise control a lot ! I had it with the factory carburetor (has a place already for the CC cable)and later with my aftermarket Weber. However, a few years ago I swapped that over to my 1998 Nissan Frontier because I was doing way more highway mountain driving, and the Frontier's 143hp v. like 85hp for the B2200 was noticeable; it still works.

However, my 2004 Nissan Frontier has the newer Rostra universal cruise control, same exact control pad (see pictures) and would fit the Mazda trucks and all vehicles with accelerator cables. Rostra is the newer evolution of the old Audiovox cruise control and uses electric actuator instead of vacuum actuator, so better. One can use the dash panel option or the steering column stalk option. Your signal would come from the coil negative terminal. I didn't get the clutch pedal switch option so I either tap the brake pedal or switch off the CC power before I press the clutch to change gears while the CC is activated.

Nice @Cusser - you should start a thread about this specifically - I am sure there are more of us interested in going this route - I know here in TX, the roads are long, straight, and mostly flat, and cruise control would be one of the best mods I can think of for these trucks. I've got the Rostra CC in my wish list, so as soon as I spotted yours, I knew what it was.

This would be almost identical for a Mazda truck as I did for the 2004 Frontier, just easier to tap into coil negative side on a Mazda truck, and easier cable connection with a factory set-up on the Mazda B2200 and B2600i. With an aftermarket Weber, on my B2200 I widened the Weber pulley a little but since doing this on my 2004 Frontier, I think with a Weber I'd just connect to the accelerator cable like on my Frontier.
