My shift knob looks like the one OldTrucksRock posted; I have only a few thousand more miles on mine. But apparently I've also got that knob like Axel Breaker posted on the 4WD console I've been trying to sell for a decade, see photo.

This where I like to have fun ... You'll be able to find knobs like;

Pool table balls
Grenades, (some have been set up to utilize the lever to engage reverse if necessary.
The end of a Katana
If you're handy with a welder, I have seen people use old wrenches, be it pipe or standard.

As long as you can tap the right hole in it, all you really have to mind is the throw distance so you don't smack the dash and impede the function.

Hellz yeah, I was curious if there were any interesting aftermarket shift knobs. I do like the comfort of the OEM shifter knob though, since mine is apparently the upscale version.

The shifter knob in your console equipped truck is very similar to the ones they used on the RX7. I have one in my truck and I think it's sporty & comfortable . You might want to see if you can buy a new one from Mazda.

Does that one have the tapered neck that inserts into the outer shift boot or is it flat across at the neck and cannot insert into the shift boot?

That one does not insert into an outer boot. The chrome shifter screws into the flat bottom of the knob.

Weirdly, my '91 B2200 has no console, but apparently it's a former console truck because of the shifter knob? After all these years of parts swapping, who knows what parts were original and what parts were added later.

I've got an uncomfy bench seat. This morning the memory foam pad I added raised me up 2 inches in the cold 28-degree weather. By the afternoon as I did a Harbor Freight run, seat height dropped a few inches as the memory foam warmed up above freezing and conformed to my ass cheeks.

Driver side door panel only goes 90% of the way up, showing door metal. Passenger side door panel goes all the way up to the window rubber. Base, LX..I'm so confused lol.

In the pic you posted of your shifter knob, it looks like there is the small, short console . Remember they used two consoles in these trucks. The full console is much longer and has map compartment with lid.. The small console and the full console both use the same taller shifter boot and the shifter knob that tucks into the top of the boot.

Console to me means bucket seats, with a console separating the seats. I have a bench seat, so no console, neither full nor small.

Semantics or are we on the same page?

Anyone know the male end on the shifter itself the thread size? Is it the M10x1.25 just like the female end on the shift knob?

I 3D printed a shift knob once with Bluetooth controller in it for the radio since my hand was on it all the time.

It had a mic in it as well for phone calls.

I wish I could remember the thread pitch but that sounds about right.

I used a thread-checker thingy on the shifter today and it's definitely M10-1.25

Thank you for the offer, I'm good with the OEM shifter, only wish I could find a Hurst knob heh
