I was replacing spark plugs/wires and accidentally switched #2&3 spark plug wires on the cylinders 🙈
I tried firing it up a couple times before realizing my mistake. After I switched them onto the correct plug it wouldn’t fire up, Its definitely cranking but the carb is spitting out gas and a little bit of smoke. I watched a vid saying it was the ICM but I wanted to see if anybody had a different solution 🙏

Auto mechanics 101: always change spark plugs and spark wires ONE AT A TIME.

Likely, you did no damage though.

If the ignition control module was bad there would be no spark therefore no ignition firing for it to cough or backfire.

Firing order is 1342 just make sure it's all wired correctly and your timing is set correctly give it a go it may just be flooded.
