Ignition Cylinder / Keys

I know their are several discussion here related to troubled ignition cylinders. I am looking to replace all the locks on the truck with one unified key. eBay has a couple of vendors that sell kits with both door locks, ignition, even the gas door for under $100. Have any of you used these?

Yes did this a few weeks ago in my friend's garage, the same $100ish ignition set. So far so good.

Before, the key could actually vibrate out while driving, everything was so worn. Also the turn signals did not self-cancel as all the plastic bits on the combo switch were also worn.

The new combo switch works as it should again, though I doubt this replica stuff will last 3 decades like the OEM Mazda stuff.

I went keyless with remote door locks and RFID push to start.

No keys, no key cylinders anywhere at all.

MazdaMitch I ALMOST did that same mod but I needed to get things up and running ASAP, so I opted for the stock setup.

If/when this goes out again, I'll be swapping things over to more modern solutions.

MazdaMitch Mitch, you're giving me twitches from my xB and my shaved door handles ... lol

I swore NEVER again to go shaved door handles, they work great until they don't and personally impractical for daily abuse IMO.

Dolly is going to get a hidden fuel cut off switch, but otherwise it'll be old school keys, not even going to install an alarm. In today's age, a manual transmission is enough security and keeping the wiring harness as factory as possible keeps things simple.
