R.F.W Operation

Hey guys, now that I got the B2600i to run I figured I’d dive in to the one thing that isn’t working on it.

That is the RFW system. Mainly I just want to know how the RFW operates (mansplain the basics to me 😆) and if there is any common problem with these systems that I should check before diving into diagrams and such. I know it’s part electrical and part vacuum and operates with a few different solenoids and valves. The RFW switch lights up at least but nothing happens when pressed.

lizardkingjr Remote Free Wheel, it’s vacuum operated front locker hubs operated by a switch in the cab, unlike the other type of locker hubs which are operated by twisting a lock in the hub itself 😆

Wow! That's a blast from the past! I posted those for that guy on there. And in that thread, my buddy Scott had a thread from Mazdatrucking.com linked below my posts, but unfortunately that forum is history now.

Yes and that's what sucks about Facebook groups is they are locked down mostly private never to be seen by the internet and I try to explain this to those guys in those groups and the group that I once had and no one seems to understand the power of forums in the longevity of forums and all the knowledge within them.
That's why I'm bringing them back.

MazdaMitch aren't you GenX? Also, I will NEVER get on FB again. I did that bit for a few years, and it's idiotically bad. The whole thing is just a joke and you're right about all the spying, ads, etc. The forum is the way to go!

Also, that dude misspelled forum...just want to point that out.

You are right Mitch! Young = Dumb in most responses like that one! One day that person will realize how much knowledge he is passing up by staying on FB. I would not be surprised if he doesn't show up on your forum here one day!
I am a boomer, and I prefer using a laptop instead of my smartphone, simply because it is easier to see things for me. I always try to be nice to people, even people that I don't know, and when I see comments such as that, I just let them figure things out on their own!
I have said it many times, and I will say it again.......thank you for the effort and your time that you have put into this forum, the website, and the FB page. It takes a lot of time on your end, and 99.9% of people do appreciate it! Yes there is always one or two that have to be "That guy"!

Axel-Breaker-Earl I agree with using a laptop or computer, there really is no substitute for a real computer no matter how nice a smartphone or tablet may be.

So many today, having ground up without a computer, just a tablet or phone and it shows.

Off topic....but, 25 or so years ago, I bought a CAD program to start drawing residential house plans on......I have been hand drawing since I was a teenager. This new program made me learn a lot about computers! I taught myself. I used a desktop back then until laptops were fast enough to be able to use them. I draw every day now and do zero advertisement for this......sometimes I get burnt out on it, but it provides some nice spending monies throughout the year. Anyway, you can do so much more with a computer!
