Well I guess it all depends on what you mean it's not working.
There is a fuse in the fuse box called meter and it does have something to do with some of the cluster.

The speedometer is driven by cable so it's not cluster dependent.
The lights in the cluster work off of the dimmer switch if the dimmer switch is broken the lights will not work.
Of course the temperature gauge is working off of the resistance of the temperature sending unit on the thermostat.
And the fuel gauge is working off of the resistance level of the fuel sending unit in the tank.
All of these depend on proper electrical circuitry working on the cluster so first thing I would do is check the fuse marked meter.

Warning lights? Illumination lights? Apparently not indicating temperature (if I understand you correctly). Fuel level?

Mrcrowley Is it a tach cluster or non tach cluster?
Are you replacing a known good one with something else or did it all just stop all together?

Does anything happen when to turn on the key, not start the truck, just turn on the key?
When you turn your lights on does any part of the cluster light up? Do you lights work? Will the car start? Or is it isolated to the cluster? Radio? Turn signals? Hazards?
