Chrome Grille from Rockauto ?

I was on a waiting list with Rockauto for a chrome grille and received an email from them at 3:48 am California time and by the time I responded to them they were sold out that quick. I've also heard that they might not ship to California for some reason.

That should have no relevance to the destination. I can understand not having Chrome plating shops IN California, but not having chrome on your vehicle? Not to offend my fellow Latinos, but the Mexicans would riot if that were the case .. lol

I was lucky enough to get a grille through RA via the email notification, but I live in Florida, my grille came with a gun and a gator .. lol

OGMB2K California was successful in the van of chrome plating anything in 2023.

We used to have plenty of chrome shops here in California especially down near the Mexican border. People who live in Southern California now take the drive down to Tijuana , Mexico to get things chromed and also cheap auto upholstery

It's not the chrome itself that is illegal or banned in cali. It's because of prop65 here in cali that they can't ship the chrome grilles to the state without proper pro65 labels and MSDS documentation. Prop65 has to do with anything and everything that has any type of chemicals in its composition that can cause cancer. So any products that fall under that prop65 need stickers/labels on the packaging to be acceptable to ship to this state. I was able to order a chrome grille from RA but had to ship to it to family in Oregon then they shipped it to me.

I'm so sorry to hear that and it's such BS, because suddenly EVERYTHING toxic before prop65 is ok and grandfathered in? Let's not go down that rabbit hole .lol

OGMB2K lol yea I wish it was better here in cali, but unfortunately all these crazy tree hugging liberals of this state have ruined a lot of the custom car culture because we can't have nice things anymore like the real house of kolor candy paints because of its compositionto not having our own chrome shops and have to run them to Mexicali or Tijuana to get chrome or gold dipped.
