Justa231v6 Just wondering if anyone knows where i can find a replacement. my wire is broken right at the box/capacitor? or is this a non use item? the thing attached to the left of the vacuum advance and routed to the coil,
Cusser This is a static suppressor for radio, primarily for AM reception. If you want one: Condenser/capacitor static reducer for distributor: ECH RC111 or fa83 or p13045 from NAPA https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHRC111 Search "radio capacitor" at NAPA Mazda number is S101-66-991
MazdaMitch Justa231v6 it unnecessary. It was only there for radio buzz for radios of that time period. If you just want to replace it, that's up to you. If not, it won't hurt anything to just remove it.
MazdaMitch Mrcrowley Its not needed. These were used to stop alternator whine in older radios. These buzz eliminators exist in every radio made in the last 25 years.
Mrcrowley MazdaMitch most are in the radio correct I don't know much about radio's I never got in the speaker craze lol
