can all of the same wiring go while doing a Weber swap compared to a manual
Just trying to make sure as far as ecu wiring and such

Reverse lights wiring may be different on the B2200 auto, compared to manual.....not sure. You will need to get a vacuum line down to the Vacuum Modulator on the auto trans though......the manual trans doesn't have or need one.

I removed EVERYTHING on my friends truck, his is an 89 auto, and it worked fine.
Also the project truck that I have in my shop right now is an auto, and all is removed from that but I have not gotten into it yet to see what is working and what is not.

Always fun times going behind other peoples hacks.

All that I know that really needs to remain is the fat vacuum line at the rear of the intake, going to the modulator on the trans as @Axel-Breaker-Earl has said.

According to the Mazda Service manual here on this site, there are two types of auto transmissions

Electronic controlled
Hydraulic controlled

I guess I have never ran across one that was all electric yet as most are self working with only that vacumm line.
Then of course I think there is a kickdown switch on the gas pedal to make it drop down a gear when full throttle.

I am hesitant and excited to get into mine.

MazdaMitch I know on the manual the one is reverse but what's the other for? I'd like to take mine off my reverse lights are part of my brake lights so no need?

The B2600i auto trans is electronically controlled I believe. I've never seen one, but if anyone comes across one of the electronic controlled auto's......SAVE THE TCU!!

Xoloanon I'm laying under the truck and mine is so caked up with crap like old oil and mud it's hard to tell but it does look like yours.

My exhaust is in the way and I cannot get in there to get a good photo.

Xoloanon That's where the trans oil pressure switch goes IF equipped.

Awhile back I looked at it pretty good and could find it. Just looked again and still can’t tell what it’s suppose to be. The hole is smooth with no threads with a small hole in the back of it.

Xoloanon I'll know more when I pull this auto trans from the truck to clean it up.

Xoloanon......can you take some pictures of your auto transmission crossmember and surrounding area and post them here? I would like to see how that crossmember is installed, since Mitch is wondering what the best way to pull his engine and trans.

Looks like that piece on the front of the crossmember will unbolt and the transmission could drop straight down.

Hole in my transmission is smooth with no threads. Maybe it’s not equipped it and that’s a blank put in place? Where would the other end plug into?

Xoloanon The oil pressure switch has a 1 pin connector that connects to the engine harness. The engine harness connects to the front harness near the under hood fuse block and then goes to the TCU in the driver's kick panel.

My 91 B2200 (fuel injected) has a TCU with 12 pin connector. It does not have the oil pressure switch on the transmission.

This is the TCU 14 pin connector in my 92 B2600i rear drive.
