I'm looking for good replacement speakers for the front under the dash for my b2200. Any brands that are best?

I don't know much about best but I've always went with pioneer or Rockford fosgate.

I'm curious about something. I didn't wire up my Alpine UTE-73BT (bought the truck with it), and it stays on after I turn off the ignition. It makes me crazy. I am going to move it over to a KOH (Key On Hot) wire but I'm wondering which wires ya'll chose to do this? I haven't even looked at the wiring diagram to educate myself.

You can wire the stereo's red (hot) wire to a Key On Hot fuse in the fuse box under the dash. That's where I pulled power for aftermarket tach and aftermarket power steering. I used a fuse tap from local parts store. You ideally would want to tap into the 15-amp fuse labeled "CIGAR".

The stereo's yellow wire (typically) is for "always hot" for the stereo's clock and station memory.

Well, I have used DLS in the most custom stereo set ups I have ever built. They had won me several SQ competitions. In their case you get what you pay for ... I have also used Hertz, with outstanding results ..

Yes, speakers to fit the stock location in the dash of the B-Series are 4 inch. Easy to replace.

Cusser I figured, perhaps you may know if the rear speakers in the CabPlus/MaxiCab are also 4”? Since mine has a weird spec it didn’t come with rear speakers 😅

If it looks like a regular xtra cab, the ones in the rear may be 6" round. That being said in our trucks the panel that holds the speaker is removable, so you can easily cut into the metal in order to fit anything, even a shallow 8" mid bass sub or 6x9 i believe.

I'll be removing all those panels this weekend and I'll get photos.

My 1988 Cab Plus SE-5 has slots for rear speaker sound but no speakers there. Don't break any of the plastic panels - they are old !!!
