John Mitch thanks for the advice.I was just watching your mile.Per gallon video. They have supposedly rebuilt the top end of the motor in 2016. But the rings are gone. It has what I think is rear main seal leak, but it could be from the oil PAN.

Cusser I'm also for following manufacturer's instructions. I say this as I'm stuck in the shower and the shampoo instructions state: "Lather. Rinse. Repeat". So I keep repeating - how when I know when I can stop??????

John I'm in a shower and my shampoo is oil. So I have a truck completely back together but haven't cranked yet. I'm guessing waiting on RTV to dry but I need to drive the truck to work tomorrow. I only need this engine to last long. Enough to get my camey fixed and then I'm going to pull it out and put an FE3 from a 2002 Kia Sportage in it.
