Factory choke & weber carbs

Will the factory choke work on the weber carbs or does it need to be a weber?

Why would you want to try? What advantage does that choke have over the one currently installed on a Weber?

Mrcrowley I see .. Well if I am not mistaken, the Weber choke is relatively simple in that it is a coil that expands with heat. Is the one on your Weber, broken or missing? Considering what you are willing to try, I am assuming you've already diagnosed the Weber and know why it isn't working?

Replacement Weber electric choke is available for about $30 new. Search Weber 57804.333J

Remove the existing electric choke heater. There should be several ohms resistance in an electric choke heater. When 7 to 12 volts positive is applied, one can feel the heater getting warmer and the coil should move/rotate.

Cusser ya I no I was just askin so I would know that's all if it's here use it instead of payin 30 bucks I live on a fixed income so I have Lil money

The stock electric choke would need to have same size as the Weber one, and rotation would need to be same direction.
