kz6fittycent Just don't let it sit around in there too long.
Correct. Gas with 10% eth in it will absorbed or pull moisture in from the air so easily.
In a humid environment, think deep south, thats no good.
I use non ethanol 87 all the time and cringe when I have to use anything else if I get pinched outside of my area and can't find it.
It's better all around for our trucks, your current cars, your lawnmowers, your dirtbikes, and the list goes on.
I have noticed that you will get more MPG using it as well and did the math, and the math was indeed mathing. I was correct.
I ran it in my charger and closely monitored the MPG to make sure it wasn't a fluke and indeed got more mpg.
It will also save you money due to the increased MPG. It's not much, as it turned out to be only saving me $100 over an entire year.
And a word or two on Octane.
These trucks engines are not high compression engines.
The higher the KNOCKTANE you buy, the more money you waste for no reason.
It will not give more power.
Using 87 is actually more chaotic in the cylinder than the higher octane and thus could be "more powerful".

Here are some photos of a dirt bike that I fixed for someone recently and it had some blue gas in it, and it didn't need mixed gas, but it was old and stank. I can only imagine they put mixed gas in it, using regular 10% crap in it. It ate it up.
