Who has an Automatic truck?

Who in here has an automatic transmission truck and can get me a picture of the passenger side fender well and all the doo dadds?

Most of the doodads have been removed from my friends auto truck. What are you looking for? There are 3-4 electrical connectors down by the right side of the bellhousing.......here is a pic or two of the engine compartment on his truck, before I swapped the bad 2.2 engine out to a used 2.0 engine......it was pretty jacked up though!

The reason I ask is because I was trying to get ready to replace some of the oil seals in the AT and I was looking through the manual and discovered the lock up relay and the kick down relay and they are on the passenger side fender well with some of the other doodads according to the manual but mine are missing. This truck was hacked up and it already had a weber carb on it.

@Axel-Breaker-Earl So I am familiar with the wires and couplers you showed, but I am worried that they NEED to travel up to what could be some missing components.

Makes me feel sick something may be missing and this trans not work to its fullest potential.

Here’s what mine has in the fender. My wiring is all blown apart though to clean up.

I think I am about to remove the looming on the harness and try and track some of this down.

I have those two "relays" and while I'm new to the automatic and not sure if it works properly without these just yet, I am wiring these BACK IN for now.

Later on down the road when this thing is hopefully moving under its own power I will unplug these and see how it reacts and then we will know for sure.

I would like to know also. I want to remove anything that’s not needed. I don’t know the condition of my transmission either hoping for the best lol🤞🏼

Okay I've never spent as much time in the wiring diagram as I have today. Really got to know the wiring diagram section really good.

So anyways it looks like only the 2600 I has the lock up solenoid and relay. So I've been looking for that for so many hours and trying to find certain colored wires that just didn't exist on this truck.

Turns out I did wire back in the kickdown relay.
The one next to it I went ahead and wired it in but I'm not sure it's necessary and I may cut that out later after I find out everything works I will test it out.

The other thing is a pressure sensor and I don't believe it needs it either but I'm letting it hang out for a bit and I may remove that later when I find out everything works correctly.

I have the bundle of wires that go to the kick panel computer on the passenger side bundled up and will probably get rid of them later.

I also have the wiper motor wires tie strapped up and I will run them inside the cab and just barely come out under the gasket of the wiper motor and reattach but I'll do that later as well.

It will get better and more cleaned up but for now it's there and out of the way until I can make sure everything works.

I did some edits on this picture from above to give anyone reading this an idea.

Hey Mitch in the picture if my inner fender your wrote on. The one with the red X is that the pressure sensor you said you don’t think we need?

Hi, unless you have one of these linked up to your carb, the AT and A/C idle up solenoids will do nothing

Rdsmith yeah I know that when you don't have the stock carburetor that all the other vacuum operated idle up solenoids are useless with the Weber I've known this forever however I've never spent a whole lot of time trying to get an idle up solenoid attached to the Weber.

I ordered something one time and it just didn't work it was too bulky.

I may revisit that one day but it looks like you have done something so what is that?

It's not just the solenoids, it is the vacuum diaphram.

I have a B2200 with an automatic transmission and air conditioning. I've gone down this rabbit hole with modest results. I just wanted to let you know that without the vacuum diaphragm to bump up the idle you won't get to first base.

Rdsmith I don't thing we are on the same page.
I've been using a Weber with AC for many many years no issues.
That's not what I'm even talking about in this post.

My concern was whacking away too many wires and the auto may not shift kickdown.

All of that is over now as I found the relay and added it back.

My friend has an automatic and I out a Weber on it and AC in it and it's fine. Sure it doesn't idle up but we turned the idle up a little and it works out fine.

First base?

Like I said years ago I thought about making an idle up for the Weber, and adjustable one, but it was never a bug concern.

If I do that one day I'll probably tinker with the dashpot from the stock carb, and one of the electric vacuum solenoids.
