Mrcrowley I welded up the existing holes and drilled new ones 3/4" inboard. Had to remake the shock tab and move that back a little to clear. (mine has ball joints flipped, and torsions re-indexed two notches)

It made the camber issue better but raised the front of the truck up almost an inch.... cranking the torsions bars to compensate would ruin the ride so it is what it is right now. Still looks good just wish it was lower

OGMB2K I been thinking about going that route I think it will have the camber problem fixed plz keep us posted on the djm thanks they sell a complete front end kit with shocks and rear lowering blocks for like 700 bucks

I ordered the lower control arms and the shocks. Once I get it and order all the ball joints, I will document it as I rebuild the front end ..

Shipping was free .. $453.05 (Lower control arms & Shocks)

So far the single most expensive part of the restoration, I think only the new A/C compressor costs that much .. Other than perhaps tires ..

Ebersole0828 Do you know if those DJM arms move the lower balljoint at all? I moved mine inboard about 3/4" to help get some positive camber back into it.

According to them, it does not affect camber, but I'm not the one to run a comparison. My current lower control arms are bent, the torsion bars are missing and I have enough wire showing on the inner side of the tire to clean the fender wells .. lol

Anything this gives is better than that ..

I am a Blocks and torsion bar guy if given the chance. I will however say the extent of being low is situational. where i live i can't really do more than a two static drop (maybe 3 if i put narrower wheels) but that's as low as i could go. in florida where i bought one of my other trucks, i could easily do 4"..

but either way i am a blocks/torsion crank guy

most off the shelf equipment will give you 3- 4" total, beyond that, welders begin to hum ..

I was able to snap two pics of the current ride height this weekend. For reference, this is the truck bottomed out. Meaning, when I get into it I can feel the bounce off the tires. It still rolls, there is no rubbing, but there is also no suspension. This sits on 17" wheels 205 series I believe. 4" blocks, not wedged in the rear, single leaf with just the stabilizer leaf under it. No torsion bars.

The truck is just "Oozing with Machismo" .. lol
Not to mention with enough bare wire showing on the inside or the tire to keep the plastic fender wells clean .. lol
