Knowing the hassle with the staked U-joints on these trucks, a few months ago I had a local driveshaft company re-do the two-piece drive shaft on my '88 B2200 Cab Plus (noisy U-joint); it took them an extra day because the carrier bearing they'd first obtained was the wrong size, so maybe not so straightforward finding right parts, better measure.
They did all the U-joints and carrier bearing, and balanced the repaired driveshaft, now it runs great.
