Axel-Breaker-Earl I would take your original into a parts house and see if it matches up to an Automatic Transmission truck......the trans could have been changed out, OR, the long bed had a heavier duty bearing like the auto trans did.
Mrcrowley Axel-Breaker-Earl the auto and manual calls for same but I found it and it says it only works with a Dorman driveshaft I'm not sure I just know I found it and thru Walmart to beat all
Mrcrowley MazdaMitch I figured the problem out would anyone like for me to post my problem and the fix to the wrong center carrier bearing? I have part numbers to both?
Mrcrowley Ok I own an 89 mazda b2200 the book and every place I looked and ask called for part# 8551 center carrier or as some call it the center drive shaft support bearing but it wouldn't fit my drive shaft so I finally figured it out and it says it only works on a Dorman driveshaft I'm not sure bout any that but if your having same problem this may fix it there is 3 part numbers 8551,A6017 which ate the same part just different numbers and then there is 934-014
Axel-Breaker-Earl So, did you take any pictures of the packaging or the support bearing itself? If so, it might be a good idea to include those here as well. Jim Ellis Mazda Parts online is showing a different part number for an auto transmission truck.
Mrcrowley Axel-Breaker-Earl ya I got the pics just wasn't sure if could add or not I'm not good with this kinda stuff I'm out of my wheelhouse when it comes to devices
Mrcrowley MazdaMitch for mine it is alot everyone else seems to work it's the correct bearing for my 92 short bed but for some reason this long bed has a totally different front drive shaft
Mrcrowley MazdaMitch the 934-014 was the wrong bearing also it fit on the drive shaft but it'd making my drive shaft be about and inch short have you ever encountered this problem b4?
Axel-Breaker-Earl Mrcrowley Are you talking about this shifter boot? The small broken one on the shifter handle?
MazdaMitch Mrcrowley Mrcrowley do u have any videos of shifter boot replacement? No I don't. When I did the carpet install video you can see that I used an old dishwashing glove as a boot under the shifter boot.
