Figured I'd start one of these too ..
I will be restoring the system the truck currently has, but is not working. So enjoy the journey.

This journey begins in the engine bay, I believe most of the A/C components are there minus the compressor, currently. I began by removing the condenser, it was multicolored, like most of the stuff in the engine bay. I figured I would clean it up, paint it back to black and put it back. WWEEELLLL, while all the fins looked good, I decided to push some water through it to see what was inside. Using my hose and as little pressure as possible, I got the water to travel through the condenser and no real horrors cam out the other side. I drained it as best I could and set it down to dry. That was when I noticed the water puddling at the bottom corner of the condenser. Well Shite, looks like I will be replacing the first piece I touched on the A/C system, no surprise there ..
